At 8 years old, I was Joe-Pee-Wee Baseball. That was, until my little sister won a couple of trophies one night in a dance competition, and guess who's room those trophies spent the night in. I admit it...I started for the trophies, I had my sister's shoes to fill, and I ain't too proud to say it. It was a scene straight out of "A Chorus Line" ...and I was saying "I can do that".  Years later, when I got around to doing my first Broadway show, I had the great privilage of working with a very talented choreographer, Mr. Wayne Cilento, who actually originated the "I can do that" role on Broadway. It was a pretty cool, full-circle kind of moment for me.
I'm very thankful to have had the opportunities to wear several different hats during my career in entertainment, and have been happy in all of them. Anyone who knows me, will tell you that I wear them full-out, all-in, whatever you want to call it...that's how I approach it, and live in it. This way of life comes with a certain amount of risks that you have to assume responsibility for. It isn't a life for everyone, but I know it is for me. The most important thing is to always be happy, commit to your choices, embrace them fully, and be "present" in all the moments of your life, good and bad.
